"Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above (James 1:17)" Here is an excerpt from Chapter 14 in New Way Today's Book, "A New You!" Each chapter ends with a prayer and reflection.
New Way Prayer:
Dear Lord, You know there are times when I feel like I have nothing left to give, nothing to offer. You also know how often I fail to recognize all that You have given me and to thank you as I should. I thank you
now.
Thank you for every good and perfect gift you give to me and my loved ones. Thank you for being there for me through good times and bad, even when I fail to recognize it, I know by faith that You are there.
Thank you for sending me Your Holy Spirit to strengthen me and guide me.
Lord, I feel that there is something special I can do, some purpose I have, some quality you have given me that you can use to serve others, but I'm not sure what it is. More often than not we see talent in others but fail to recognize it in ourselves. Please help me to see in me what You see in me, and to discover Your plan for my life, and follow it. Amen.

Am I a good listener, do I take time out for others, do I pray?
What is it that I want to be good at?
Do I pray to God to give me special gifts, or to reveal His spiritual gifts to me,
and to help me use these gifts?
How often throughout the day do I say thank you?
